Matcha tea “Beginner” is born in the tea region of Nishio, Aichi Prefecture where tradition and technology intertwine to create the perfect tea for newcomers.
Its flavor is shaped even before the harvest: the bushes are shaded to ensure the leaves retain their tenderness and vibrant green color. Farmers gather only the youngest leaves, which have absorbed all the beneficial nutrients. They are then dried and slowly ground on stone mills to preserve their silky texture and rich taste.
Strict control standards are implemented at every stage of production. In the rooms where the matcha is packaged, the air is filtered 44 times per minute, while humidity and pressure levels are constantly regulated by a computer. Before packaging, the tea is tested in a laboratory, and tea sommeliers check its color, aroma, and flavor balance. Only after this does the matcha make its way to your chawan.
