DRY LEAF AROMA:

The Menghai Benchmark
This tea is born in Menghai County, Yunnan Province—the recognized heart of Puerh production. To create the “Yu Hua Nong” recipe (batch number 2201), the technologists at Menghai Tea Factory use a blend of select, mature tea leaves with golden buds, which add sweetness and depth to the flavor. The name “Dark Jasper” reflects the tea’s noble, rich character and its premium quality.
The wet-piling process (“wo dui”) is conducted under the strict supervision of masters, which allows for a clean, balanced taste free of any off-notes. After fermentation, the leaves are steam-pressed into a dense, neat 357g cake, which is perfect for immediate tasting as well as for long-term aging, during which its flavor will become rounder and more complex.
Brewing Recomendations
For a more even infusion, we recommend gently breaking off the desired amount of tea from the cake and separating it into smaller pieces, either by hand or with a puerh knife.
