This Shu Puerh represents one of the most fundamental and recognizable recipes from the legendary Menghai factory. Its blend is based on 8th-grade tea leaves, which means mature, large leaves are used that are perfectly suited for deep fermentation. This type of material gives the tea its density, thick body, and characteristic woody-earthy profile.

The wet-piling process (“wo dui”) was conducted by the factory’s masters with a focus on a clean taste, ensuring a smooth, straightforward profile without excessive bitterness or unpleasant notes. After fermentation, the tea is pressed into a classic 357g cake. This puerh is excellent for drinking now and also has the potential for further aging—over the years, its taste will become even smoother and more balanced.
